Who is Marc J?
Born Marc A Jackson in New Orleans, La, Marc J is a Producer, MC, Singer and Song Writer. Since his introduction to hip-hop and R&B in the early 80’s he has been immersed in the music and culture of the art form. Marc J gained experience in music theory throughout high school, where he attended the highly regarded New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, or NOCCA, which is the public performing and visual arts high school for the State of Louisiana. Marc was also a member of a multi year state champion male vocal ensemble along with many singing and rap groups. After years of being away from music, Marc met his future brother in-law Kendrick Gabriel and they formed the G-Livin Music record label where he rediscovered his passion for music.
